Love this setting powder! It is super fine milled and feels as if I am wearing nothing at all! Makeup stays in place and lasts all day long.

    Not my cup of tea

Personally as a fair pink undertoned red head the translucent powder is like a banana powder in my opinion it not good. It is blurring but in my opinion it just mattifies that's it. There is no longevity with this powder at all.

    Not for me Personally

But I do know people do love this so I would say it's worth trying but buy the mini

Translucent Loose Setting Powder FAQs

What is translucent loose setting powder used for?

Translucent loose setting powder is a makeup product used to set and finish your makeup look. It's specifically designed to create a matte, shine-free finish, control oiliness, and prolong the wear of your makeup. This powder is called "translucent" because it's colorless, making it suitable for all skin tones. It's often applied as the final step in a makeup routine to help your makeup stay in place and look flawless for a longer period.

What is translucent loose setting powder?

Translucent loose setting powder is a finely milled, colorless powder that is used to set makeup. It helps to reduce shine, minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines, and provide a smooth, matte finish without altering your skin's color. It's a versatile product that works for all skin tones and is a must-have in many makeup routines.

How to use translucent loose setting powder?

To use translucent loose setting powder, first, apply your foundation, concealer, and any other cream or liquid products. Then, use a makeup brush or sponge to lightly apply the powder over your face, concentrating on areas prone to shine, such as the T-zone. Gently tap off any excess powder and blend it evenly to set your makeup and control oil throughout the day.

Is loose powder the same as setting powder?

Loose powder is a broad category that includes various types of finely milled powders. Setting powder is a specific type of loose powder designed to set makeup and control shine. While setting powder can be loose, not all loose powders are setting powders. Loose powders can also include translucent, colored, or finishing powders that serve different purposes, like adding color, blurring imperfections, or providing a luminous finish.

Where do you apply setting powder?

Setting powder should be applied to areas where you want to set your makeup and control shine. This often includes the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin), under the eyes, and along the jawline. It's essential to avoid over-powdering, as this can result in a heavy, cakey appearance.

How do you match setting powder to skin tone?

To match setting powder to your skin tone, opt for a translucent setting powder, as it's designed to be universal and won't affect your foundation's color. Colored setting powders are also available in various shades to match different skin tones if you want to add a touch of color or correct imperfections.

Do you use setting spray before or after powder?

Setting spray is typically applied after setting powder. Setting powder is used to create a matte finish, set your makeup, and control shine, while setting spray helps lock your makeup in place and provide a more natural, long-lasting look. So, the usual order is setting powder followed by setting spray.

What is the difference between translucent powder and setting powder?

The main difference between translucent powder and setting powder is that translucent powder is colorless and works for all skin tones, primarily reducing shine and providing a smooth finish. Setting powder can be translucent or colored and is specifically designed to set makeup, control oil, and extend the wear of your makeup.

What is the difference between setting powder and finishing powder?

Setting powder and finishing powder are often used interchangeably, but they serve slightly different purposes. Setting powder is used to set makeup and control shine, while finishing powder is applied as the final step in your makeup routine to blur imperfections, add a soft focus effect, and provide a radiant finish. It's not meant for oil control but rather to enhance your skin's overall appearance.

How do I use the Velour Puff with the Translucent Loose Setting Powder?

To use the Velour Puff with the Translucent Loose Setting Powder, simply press the puff into the powder, then gently roll or press it onto the skin in a rolling motion to set makeup and reduce shine. You can also use a pressing motion for targeted areas that need extra setting.
